Treatment Areas

“Double-chin” noticeably reduced after just 1 skin tightening treatment
Common treatment areas for women include the stomach for removing the ‘baby pouch’ look, hips and lower back to remove ‘muffin tops’, inner and outer thighs for ‘saddlebags’, upper arms for ‘bingo wings’, double chins and buttocks to minimise sag and help to re-shape the ageing process.
Men’s common treatment areas are stomach to reduce the overall size (or for definition to remove that 2 inch duvet that’s hiding the ‘six pack’), ‘love-handles’ on the hips and lower back area, male breasts to reduce ‘moobs’, upper back and double chins.
This treatment is also very popular amongst body-builders for defining and revealing existing muscle tone, as it reduces the layer of fat that sits on top of the muscles.
How Laser Lipolysis works
The instant inch loss is achieved by using Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT). A cold, non-invasive, laser device emits low-level laser energy through paddles that lay on top of the skin. The laser energy penetrates through the skin up to a depth of 8 or 9mm, which is where the subcutaneous fat layer can be found.

The laser energy creates a change in the fat cells (Adipocytes), breaking down the stored triglycerides into free fatty acids and glycerol. The membrane of the targetted fat cells is disrupted and tiny pores develop, making it temporarily permeable. This allows the contents of fatty acids, glycerol and water to flow out into the interstitial space between the cells. The newly released fatty liquid is then picked up by the lymphatic system and taken through into the venous system.

The fat is processed by the body in the same way as fatty foods are that we digest, by being transported around the body to the tissues that will use them during metabolism to create energy. In order to raise the metabolic rate and ensure the newly released fat is burnt off as energy, rather than laid back down in the body, you should complete some Cardio-vascular exercise within 12 hours after each treatment.
Please note: this process is not the liquefaction of fat cells or destruction of them, it is purely the emptying out of some of the cell contents.
